Stephen Lamb

Lead Vocal/guitar

With a great Grandfather from Dumbarten, Scotland and a Great Grandmother from Enneskillen, Ireland, it was Steve's father David Lamb who started his son into music. Home taught in a folk style, he began songwriting at about age 15. A passion for story-telling, he writes to elicit emotion through songs that connect with listeners, whether fictional or non-fictional, jovial or somber. His voice has been described as "the real deal" and as "a rich, low voice a lot like Paddy Reilly, one of Ireland's most beloved and famous balladeers".

Rebecca "Bexy" Sancton

Vocal/Fiddle

After watching Itzhak Perlman perform on Sesame Street, she began studying violin through the Suzuki Method at age 4 and a half, and received her BFA in Music Performance from York University in 2007.  She has been a member of the charity fundraising initiative Ceol Kids www.ceolkids.com, that has raised over $100,000 for Toronto Community Music Schools, and has performed at many great Toronto establishments including the Horseshoe Tavern, the El Macambo, the Kathedral, Healy's, the Air Canada Centre, MTV Canada with Kanye West, and recorded on many projects

Matti Palonen

Vocal/Whistle/Mando

A multi-talented musician, you'll see Matti most often adding mandolin and a lovely, and sometimes playful, tin whistle to our sound.  Some truly beautiful harmonies are created when he adds his tenor vocals to any song. On occasion, he may play a highly energetic performance on double bass, haunting tunes on the Kantele, or amaze everyone with his skill in playing Jouhikko, Harp, Cello, and Bandura.  Utilizing his background in science and lutherie, Matti designs and creates Kanteles as a luthier in Toronto.

Gary Grant

Vocal/Drums/Bodhran

With a great deal of stage experience formerly touring the world with the immensely popular Riverdance, he now works professionally as a composer and has performed in the well-loved musical Come From Away (Toronto).  He is talented on a number of percussion instruments, including drums and bodhran.  Gary was born in Dublin and his family lives there still.

Murray Foster

Vocal/Bass

Murray is a Juno-nominated former member of Canadian bands Moxy Fruvous and Great Big Sea. In August 2014, a song he wrote for the band Fortunate Ones called "Lay Me Down" went to #1 on the CBC Top 20 and was CBC Radio's most-requested song of the year. In 2015 he wrote, directed, scored, and co-produced a feature film called “The Cocksure Lads Movie,” which was released nationally. In 2017, Murray founded The Urban Orchestra, a charity that presents full orchestra shows in unconventional venues. He is currently Professor of Music at Seneca Polytechnic and teaches songwriting at Toronto Songwriting School, which he founded. In 2020, Murray was a finalist for the Roy Thomson Hall Award of Recognition for outstanding contributions to Toronto’s music culture.
